Trout Unlimited would have a cow. They don't have that much pull in Tennessee, but someone is in their back pocket in Kentucky.

I see that you can use trout for bait for the big stripers in Tennessee waters of the Cumberland River, but why can't you fish with them in the Kentucky water? I have been having trouble catching skippies near the dam, would be real nice to throw on a stocker trout.

This law actually protects the striper and hurts the trout so I'm all for it. Got to love the law of unintended consequences sometimes :-)
why not just troll/cast with a trout colored swimbait or Muskie plug ??

Because when targeting big fish day in and day out nothing beats the real thing....
Has anyone ever got stopped on the river?
They will be checking now for sure lol
Ha, I didn't me that, I play by the rules. I just have never been checked. I have only fished it 20 or so times though.
