Me too around the 10th and not sure if jumps will have started by then, or if running boards and live bait is the answer.
Deep? Shallow? Work the flats, or just off the channel breaks?

My boys are on Fall Break from school starting Oct. 8th, and was going to stay down in Jamestown a couple days fishing the river and lake for striper. Where are the Striper at in the begining of Oct? Up by the dam and Roena?

I'm heading down the 28th through the 7th and am staying in Kendall below the dam. Hoping the jumps will have started. I know the temperature on the extended forecast is supposed to be getting in the low 50's by next week. Any information on it would be helpful, but I will let you know about anything that I see or hear.
Here is Lance's latest report from today. We have not posted it yet.

Lake Cumberland fishing report for sept 20, 2016. The summer boating season is drawing to a close which means great fall fishing days are ahead. Cool fall mornings are my favorite time to be on the water. The striper fishing this summer has been amazing with great numbers of quality 30 in plus fish. A few 40 in plus fish are also showing up. We are fishing alewife herring from 60 to 80 ft deep on main lake flats and points. They are pretty easy to find most days using good electronics and a little time idling around looking for them. The bass are starting to feed on top water early and late. And like all year there is a boom of catfish in the lake.
God bless and good fishing

I'll be there on the 7, 8, 9 on the river and lake. I'll try and let u all know how we do. I'll be up towards the dam area. I'll be in a red and white ranger bay. If ya see me don't afraid to stop and say hi.
I'll be fishing the river the same time. Keep a look out for a long haired country boy LOL. Chuck
Awesome to hear about the bass and stripers on the lake! Thanks for the update!
