Ok so i believe its a melanistic raccoon. Some animals are are born albino some are born melanistic as in solid black. Pretty rare critter for sure

    My Guess

Would be feral pig. Head shape looks wrong for bear, and awfully small body.

Looks like a bear to me. Rump a little larger than shoulders so don't think it is pig.

My ex wife, mean critter what ever she was. Using the pond to scale it by I would say bear or very large pig.

    Scale

By using the surrounding leaves, and assuming that is corn it is feeding on, I would say it is quite small, whatever it is.

easy enough to check, if it is a pig, then it would leave very well defined tracks in the soft dirt around it. It is a small bear it may not leave tracks due to its feet being more like pads. Not sure but it is interesting
