I hope that the sheer size of Barkley and Kentucky will limit their ability of taking over completely and the game fish will still be able to flourish.
How was the fishing, any luck?

I was fishing with a buddy from work for a few hours on Saturday around Barkley Lake State resort. We pulled into a cove just to the north and noticed Asian Carp jumping everywhere. We even talked to another fishermen who was just as shocked by it. The graphs showed what looked to be thousands of them below us and on the side imaging. It was pretty depressing, I hope the lakes don't become overrun with these fish.

I had two jump in the boat last fall just past the state resort on Barkley. We also saw a boat drive across that flat just before the state resort and saw what looked like 500 or so just take off jumping. It was awful to see.
Had my first one actually make it into the boat the other morning. I always forget about them until they start to jumping then I remember. Guy I was with hadn't experienced them before and he was the one who nearly got hit. I thought he was going to end up in my lap, not the fish. It was still dark out too so that added another element to the scenario.
SLP--- we only fished for about 2 hours. We only had one hit, about a 13 inch bass that came off.
