    Lakemaster chips.

I just wanted to let everyone know not to make the same mistake I did. Unless you fish KY lake or Barkley DO NOT fall for hummingbird's "lake list" that shows a laundry list of lakes but provides ZERO useful info. I just bought a Lakemaster southeast ver.4 chip for my hummingbird and was astonished that Green River Lake, Cumberland and Dale hollow have ZERO usable info. It has the same useless 40' contour spacing like you get with the standard chart. I even contacted HB prior to purchasing and asked them and they confirmed that southeast ver.4 was what I needed for those 3 lakes.

SO unless you fish a lake listed as HD.. DO NOT waste your money like I did. They list a bunch of lakes but unless it says HD the chip provides ZERO benefit over the useless stock mapping that comes with it. I have a HB 700 series with built in navionics and even that basic mapping provides great detail anywhere in the US. Every other brand of graphs provide basic contour lines & info except for HB. I have owned 5 HB units and never had a different brand but I am seriously looking at Garmin now.

Just a heads up so no one else makes this mistake.

That's a shame. Since they verbally advised you I would at least attempt to return it. Speak with a manager and explain their sales staff misinformed you.

Maybe it's a subtle hint to fish Kentucky and Barkley

    Raymarine

Ive had lowrance, humminbird and they were great units. But i cant say enough good things about my Raymarine unit. The down imaging looks like an actual photograph. Ive never owned a garmin but i have fished with a buddy that has one in his boat and it was a very nice grapg and pretty user friendly.

I have the same card and have only used it on Cumberland and I wasn't impressed with what I saw. Ok for basic navigation but that's it.
