Thanks Peter! Were the alewives deep under the light or were they visible before you threw the net?

Fished Sunday 2/19 from a little before sunrise to 11 AM EST in the back of the creek in 40 to 60 feet of water. Did not see many stripers on the graph. Caught to Kentucky's at 40 feet. A friend caught a real nice crappie and 40 feet about three-quarter up the creek. Caught some pretty nice alewives under the bait light.
Pulled bait 15' to 50'
Might have been better off bottom fishing.
Water temp 50°
Probably not the report you are looking for but it can only get better.

Thanks for the report.
I'm anxious to try it but historically have struggled until at least mid-March. Maybe this year is the year I slay them!
I'll post a report if I go.
Peter how deep was your light?
Sorry didn't see this until now.
Light about 18'.
Weird. This past Sunday-at the same time, same place, doing the exact same thing I didn't catch but three or four baits barely big enough to use. I thought I was looking at bait on the graph but maybe they were tiny and went through the net. Seems like that would be a big change in just two weeks because two weeks ago caught nice sized bait.
