    Dale Hollow 3/5/17

After a week of crazy cold nights big winds rain, the Smallmouth bite was really hit an miss. Fishing Sunday boating a fish every 20-30 minutes bouncing spot to spot, using a swim bait an live bait, our fish came out of a depth consistently plus 25-35.
Spoke with a buddy at 1130 in a club tournament not a fish in the boat, by tournament end they had 18 pounds of 18 lbs of fish to weigh (an win). Dale Hollow to a tee persistence is key.
Water temp was 52 when I came in we caught 8-10 fish throwing shad toward the deep side of the spawning areas grass seemed to be better than small shell rock

Rick what color and size swimbait do you prefer on Dale? I am learning the lake more and will be down there quite a bit this year. Typically tubes, jigs, etc. for me but I realize I'm missing out on the swim bait bite. I'm also not a tournament guy on that lake, just for fun.
    Thanks!

    True Bass Swim Baits

The most productive thus far has been the "little head 4.5" in true blue using the True Bass 1/2oz head with 5/0 hook. We carry them at Smitty City near Nolin Lake. You can also get at trueswimbaits.com. Maybe able to enter code "bean" and get 10% off

    TrueBass Swimbaits

The promo code "bean" does give you 10% off at www.trueswimbaits.com

TrueBass is a relatively new company.

I am a new pro-staff member for them.

The baits have awesome action, durable, and flat out catch fish.

If you are close to Barren River Lake you can get them at Blinky's Bait and Tackle.

Feel free to message me any questions about the lures.
