    Lake Cumberland

Anybody have any idea how the large and small mouth bites are at Lake Cumberland. Fishing there for the first time Friday and Saturday. Any ideas how deep the largemouth are? Water temp? I know it's a deep clear lake. Are crawdad cranks baits doing well now? How about drop shots and slow rolling spinner baits deep? What is the main bait fish in late March early April? shad, perch, bluegill?

    Thanks in advance

no secret to catching big smallmouth on Cumberland. Get some medium shiners and fish rock walls and ledges with deep water close by anywhere from wolf creek to the dam. Since December we have boated 4 over 5 lbs, 13 over 4 lbs and to many over 3 lbs to count. You will catch a few smaller than 3 lbs every once in a while but your average fish will be about 3 lbs.
