I love Laurel in the spring!! Super clear lake. I have done the best on smallies on secondary points deep cranking, slow rolling a big double bladed spinner bait, or shakey heads. Catch great LM on spinner baits and square bill as well!!

I've never been on this lake before but have decided to give it a try on Saturday. I've read that it is super clear but has some nice smallies. It's been hard finding any information on it though. Any info or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully this rain didn't turn it into chocolate milk. I've never been to this lake so I have no idea. Just hoping to have a good time.
Love laurel for trout in May. From my experience that lake never gets muddy. It's a SUPER deep lake with areas that are 30 ft off the bank and 100+ ft deep. It will get cloudy but I've never seen it muddy before. Hopefully you have more luck than I with smallies. I could never really figure them out so I stuck to trout. Good luck! IMO Laurel is one of the most beautiful lakes in the state and one of the toughest to fish!
