I fished L.C. yesterday with Bassgetr but we couldn't find either the Bass or Stripers! We did have a lot of fun and I got to try out the Minn Kota for the first time and was able to stay out of the weeds most of the time ! As far as the trolling went I tried 4 poles with weighted Jigs trying to fish different depths but no side planers yet. It wasn't to hard to keep them separated but I did manage to get 3 tangled one time. Bassgetr threw plenty of plugs and jigs but no takers.
The water temp was up to 61* in the coves and still there in the main part of Fishing Creek near Lees Ford Marina, it was a very nice day no wind and the water was flat.
I didn't have any way to check the speed or depth I was trolling , just used the main motor at idle and let the lines out from 60 to 100 feet behind the boat while using 1/2 & 3/4 oz. jigs and then later I added 1/2 oz. weights to get a little deeper and never had any problem hitting the bottom in 50+ feet of water.
So my next step is installing a Luhr Jensen Speed Indicator, I have used one on my old boat trolling for Salmon in Oregon and really liked it. Then I am waiting on the mail for the side planers and hope to have them ready to try out for the next trip.
So any advice would be appreciated !

Since I am retried & just bought the boat, a new Fish Finder will have to wait a couple of months!
