Nice day on the water. Sounds like it could be a fuse.

Results: Yes, the crappie are shallow. We caught a lot of undersized fish but I almost beat my self imposed limit of 6 keepers. I was only 2 shy. Counting the Heathen's catch I brought home 10 legal fish.
The Heathen was also rightly impressed by my recently refined culinary skills and sammich making prowess. It's very rare for the Heathen to give praise but he did so in this instance. Roast beast cooked medium rare served on a home baked French baguette bread loaf with mater slices, onion, lettuce and mayo. I also brought along some Kosher dill pickle spears to freshen one's palette.
It was only after we had launched and were fishing that we (he) discovered that the tilt was not working on the motor. It has sat under my boat barn awning for 2 years so it's hard telling what the problem is. Thankfully he can trailer and launch with the motor in the fully down position. That however does not help when the stern is backasswards up to the bank. No click, no noise, no nothing. My initial thought is that a wire is corroded or not even hooked up. Same thing with his starboard bow anchor winch. Nothing, zilch, zero.
All in all, the toon ran pretty good after sitting for 2 years and it was an enjoyable day on the water. The fish are on ice as is my bourbon. I'll finish the bourbon this evening and clean the fish in the morning.
Nice sunny day spent with a friend on the lake. What could be better?
