    Dale Hollow shellcrackers

Got into them today. We cleaned 25 very nice ones along with some nice bluegill. Found a bay off of the main lake that had 70 degree water and shallow mud/gravel and used bits of night crawler. You could see the gills on their nest. Fished alittle deeper out from them, about 5-7 foot of water. The only reason we quit was, we were about to melt. We had enough anyhow. Went out in the late evening and caught 7 smallmouths off of mud flats in Sulphur creek. A great day of fishing my friend and I had. We hope to do it tomorrow too

That's awesome, take some pictures and post them up. I've wanted to fish Dale Hollow for redear but I'm over on the Twin Lakes and it's good over here. I've heard Dale Hollow has some big redear.

I reckon I'm going to have to read up on how to post pictures here. My buddy and I have a bunch of pics. We like to show off to our friends. When we cleaned, there was blood in the eggs. They were ready. Suprised me. Kinda early for the ears. This is the first year we tried for them here. We heard tales. It's true!

Oh yeah, a couple more things. Water is up pretty good at the Dale. A whole lot of floating garbage and quite a few big trees and limbs. Not quite as bad as Cumberland but enough to ruin your day! All you high speed kayaker fishing the tournament this weekend, don't crash and burn. Lots of luck to you. We fished today for more redear. We did pretty good today. Had to wait for the water to warm a bit before they got active. About 68 degrees. Heading home.

I reckon I ought to post some shellcrackers we caught instead of bass. Sorry about that.
