    Nolin

Headed down to nolin may 4 th for spawning gills and some crappie headed out of wax not familiar with this area so I was going to start the state marked fish attractors or is that a waste of time . According to the map dog Creek looks inviting but would be about a six Mile boat ride

I fish Nolin a lot and its a little early for the big bluegill but have been catching a few and been catching several bass, caught a 4.4 largemouth bass Monday at dogcreek, and there is a nice boat ramp at Dogcreek, to put your boat in and a lot of good fishing...good luck to you

Staying at state park Derby Weekend. Any help on lake conditions would be appreciated.
Plan to fish from the dam to dog creek. Any obstacles due to water levels?
    Thanks in advance

Lake level is about 5 foot below summer pool..and shouldn't be no obstacles between the dam and dog creek,,bass bite has been pretty good and the bluegill are bitting some and still catching a few crappie..should be real good fishing derby weekend if it don't rain a bunch this week.

Fished Thursday thru Sunday out of the State Park. From Brier Creek to Ponderosa. Weather was not ideal but the bass did cooperate. Cranks, jigs, spinnerbait, mostly shallow. Down to 10'.
Water clarity was clear to lightly stained.
Sunday I did start seeing some floating debris. Probably will get worse as the water rises.
    Be safe
