    Crappie

Is it time to be trying to catch crappie at the thermocline or still in shallow water

All reports I'm seeing indicate trolling cranks is catching them ... but then there are those that are taking them off deep brush with jigs, too. You might find a few shallow (<10ft deep) in the early AM on a shady bank, but with the thermoclines starting to come on, they're gonna go out deep around the Shad schools as soon as the Sun gets high.

Normally I fish Taylorsville the most. I do fish Green River Lake & Cave Run lake on occasion. I haven't fished Cumberland since they started letting it fill back up after the dam work was completed. As my name suggests, I primarily fish for Crappie.
