I'm paying close attention to this thread. I recently moved to Louisville from the PA/MD area and I am an avid smallmouth junkie. Always a CPR (catch, photo, release) fisherman, I've grown quite fond of these bronze beauties, chasing them almost exclusively for the past 12 years. Since moving here, I've floated/waded a few creeks and found a few but I really want to find them in these lakes. My buddy just bought a bass boat and we're heading to Green this weekend.
The fish in the photo (my personal best) is 22.25" and went 5.25lbs on my buddy's BOGA that he swears weighed light. It came out of the Susquehanna River in PA. It was early April and she ate a Rapala X-Rap in an eddy formed by a mid river island. The river was on a quick rise and we only had a few hours before it turned to raging chocolate milk. The fish gods were smiling upon me for sure!!
Dwdave thats a nice one im heading to green friday for some night fishing never fished it at night just been couple during the day but realy like the lake so far

Thanks Howie.....
Yeah I've heard that night fishing there is the way to go for the next few months.
Sounds like our plans have changed now. He's fishing Rough on Saturday and wants to soak it again Sunday so I guess I'll be chasing greenies instead.
