    Need help identifying a fish

Ok, So I dont have a picture, But I go to a small creek and they're loaded with what looks like a sucker fish but its black and has horizontal stripes. I tried looking on the KY fish identification pdf but theres nothing that looks like it. Anyone know what im talking about?

If the stripes were vertical, and not horizontal, it sounds a lot like what we used to call a "military minnow" some call a hock sucker.

Most creek chubs have a mouth like a sucker fish and one long horizontal stripe.
