Dale Hollow - the Bobber is dropping

So, I went to Dale this past weekend ( Dec 1, 2, 3).

We fished mostly main lake, but ended up in ilwill and ashburn creek too. We caught 26 fish in 3 days. I heard of a KILLER swimbait bite, with 3 guys having a 25+ fish day on swimbaits and live bait. From my conversations they had half on bait , half on swimbaits.

    Back to my trip......

Here are some pictures from my trip.

Now give us an update on your new trolling motor now that you have put it to the test. What do you like what do not like? Do you wish you had the I link?

Temps are 55........lake is turning over , I think. It looked dirty and nasty mid lake. Ilwill, Ashburn, Wolf, looked good to me.

With regards to the new trolling motor......OMG that piece of equipment is FREAKIN AWESOME. Eddie M. has never seen me so focused on fishing. On a day we'd normally blank, I caught 10. I credit a whole lot of that to my ability to simply focus on PICKING apart a particular area and catching the 2- or 3 fish hanging on it. This was repeated every day.

The spot lock was locking itself out, and I don't know why, but I finally figured it out that it was "binding" on the lock I put on the motor. Once I raised the motor head 2 or so inches, all was good.

By the end of the trip, I was setting locks on multiple places, and using the goto function to move between locked places, and not even thinking about boat control.

I don't think the link is necessary. Everytime I slowed down and used the "N" auto pilot button it would pilot fine, but the head continued to try to search for directional even though it didn't need to.......now, in the wind, that is a WHOLE different story, the "N" autopilot is off the freakin HOOK. WOW. Set it , give it a direction and forget about it.

    I love the motor.

    Pure and Simple.

I’m not a fan of auto pilot on advanced mode. Too much crazy Ivan. You can change the setting to legacy mode and the adjustments are more bearable.

I’m referring to Minn Kota assuming that’s what you’re using...

    Shad size=fly

I pull bait which is a system set up to draw it in
    then store for later use.
Tonight under the light was a fresh hatch of what I call
    flakes smallest of the shad.

So when you out there with that fly
Under the bobber. Your matching the size of these
    flakes somewhat.

Hope this gives u a clue.
We don’t cage these flakes lol.

So, that is done with the controller.........I believe the legacy may work for what I want, from what I'm reading.

    Thanks.
