    Bass fishing Cumberland this Sunday

Planning to head to lake cumberland this sunday with a buddy and his son to do some bass fishing. What are the smb or lmb doing this time of year? Have never fished there other than a couple of striper trips. Hope to get my buddies son on a few good bass if possible. Took him to ky lake in October and had a good time but the fishing wasn't that good. He still enjoyed it but i know it could have been much better. Any insight from you guys would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Gary.

was there on monday and the lake was turning over and fishing was tough , if you can throw shiners this time of year you can have some consistent action, if the water is still messed up on mainlake head into the creeks.

    Thanks

Thanks for the info. Launching from Jamestown most likely. Can shiners be bought at the marina there?

Was there today, its fishing super tough. We had a live bait tourny and it took 13.60 to win and 7.68 for 2nd. Even with shiners the bites were very few and far between. We probably caught 20-25 fish but there wasnt much size and most of them came on a shakeyhead. Maybe 4-5 bites on live bait

    A live bait tourney..........

I didn't even know such things existed.......

Man, those weights do make it seem like Cumberland if fishing pretty tough. Dale is also fishing pretty hard.

Our local club puts on 1-2 year. Not big money or big turnouts but its fun/different and a change of pace. We finished 2nd and actually wound up catching our fish on artificial. We couldnt get a live bait bite going at all
