    And there goes the sauger run....The barge that was hung at the lower dam, Mcalpine years ago was carrying urea I believe, and left a lasting impression on my fishing for a while...Sad news

    Chemical spill

    We might get lucky with this heavy rain coming. Maybe the extra water will dilute it some. We can only hope. I really look forward to the sauger season and Chuck is usually spot on. Hope the fish duck for cover in the creeks and that junk rolls down stream

    Man hope your right Don, high nitrogen levels will destroy their slime and leave them open to all kinds a parasites. I used to get this a lot in the spring when channel cats would migrate to the creeks and the first big rain would wash all the fertilizers off the newly tilled and fertilized bottom land. I would catch fish with literally holes in them. I hope I'm wrong , we need a good run. Chuck
