This reel does have metal roller clutch bearings that most likely will have to be placed at some point if use in salt water. But it looks like this reel has brought baitcasters to a new level of performance with the CZB polymer composite bearings.

Anyone tried one? I know they haven't been available for very long. Zero ball bearings. Saw a promo video with Dave LeFebre talking about how quiet and long-casting they are. I'm not dumb enough to believe everything I hear in a commercial but I am dumb enough to be intrigued . . .

Theres a good preview on tackletour.com. The big question I have is how will the hold up after 2 years. Most pros can use any reel they want when they get new ones every year. But I want a reel that lasts and I've noticed certain brands are going strong while some are in the parts bin.
That's a good point. I've always paid a lot of money for Shimano reels but I'm still using almost every one I've ever bought. I bought an Ardent reel once based on Denny Brauer promoting them.
