    Laughery Creek

I am new to the area and would like to fish Laughery Creek. Are there specific public places to park and walk into the water? I was living in Wisconsin the last 18yrs., and really enjoyed the trout fishing. I would like to try fly fishing for small mouth this spring. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ray Rigsby use to frequent this site many years ago. He's a small mouth specialist. I think he has his own web site or forum. Google "Indiana Smallmouth" and you might find his site if it's still around. I lost a lot of stuff on my computer when I had to reinstall Windows 10 after is failed to update to the fall creators update properly. I lost all my old links and favorites on the computer.

    Good luck.

I got to go trout fishing up near Eau Claire Wisconsin one time. It was much more fun that fishing here in IN.

I have fly fished Indiana for White Bass on Eagle Creek ( should Start soon ) and at Brookville tailwater for trout. We have a house on the Cumberland River in KY and thats where we do our fishing, trout and smallies.
If I were you I would head over to FlyMasters in Castleton Allisonville and 82nd street and talk to Derek or one of the other guys. They'll hook you up. Also from Wisconsin...Two Rivers!!! GO PACK GO!

    Thanks!

Thanks guys for the advice! Yes fishing in Wisconsin was incredible and I miss it , so it is important to me to keep fishing here in Indiana as much as possible. I will look into Ray Rigsby and I will journey to Flymasters as well. I have a boat as well, and look forward to getting out on Brookville some more. Go Pack!

I've never fished that for smallies...........

Looking on Google Maps, that creek does look to hold some good water, and I guarantee there are some good smallies. If you follow up from the Ohio, there seems to be an interesting "wing" dam about 20 miles up. That area and beyond seems to have a whole lot of decent gravel bars, and deeper holes.

I might need to check that stuff out .

    Later,

    Geo
