It is that's not what I think we need.

Yeah exactly. Its not a big deal to guys who fish alot as much as it's really a big deal for people who don't catch alot of big bass, especially kids. And part of the deal is it requires catch and release to get rewards. And I like the fact you can see what kind of trophy numbers lakes put out, I know Florida uses the numbers in fishing reports and management.

I have a 2017 trophy fish pin] Years ago Ky angler award program was bigger and they gave a nice wooden wall plaque for master angler award.
Here is some pic's of the old MA awards along w\ some yearly awards and stickers. Haven't been in the program for 20 years. I can say it did help me focus on other species and there patterns, but as Stripernut said the money would better serve the fishery. Heck all you need is a picture. Chuck

Thanks riverrat for the photo of the master angler plaques from back in the day.Looks like you caught lots of big fish! If anyone has a more recent photo of what they give for the master angler award I would still like to see them;I would even like to see other year trophy fish pins if someone has pics of those as well. I do not think they spend much money on this program at all.The pins probably cost less than a dollar the most expense is postage to mail them out and they could lower that cost a bunch from what they paid to mail my 2017 pin.I hope they continue it I plan to get a pin each year and display them somehow.
