Anyone know water temp at Taylorsville and is anyone catching any prespawn crappies?
I know the water is WAY up.
Lake is still 20ft over Summer Pool and falling (over the last few days) with a current spillway outflow of 3700cfs. It's fallen about 6ft in the last 10days.
Back on 2/25 it was still "possible" to launch at Possum Ridge, if you could keep the floating debris off the ramp. Friend of mine took pics and the lake was muddy, trashy, and yet there were boats on the water. Whether they were catching anything or not, my friend didn't say (likely because he didn't ask). I think the water was 26ft over Pool at that time, so Possum Ridge ramp would be the only ramp I'd even consider using right now.
I haven't had any reports or inquires about Taylorsville from my Crappie angler buddies (members of another website), so I can't give you any further info. I would assume the water temps to have fallen back into the upper 40's since the cold weather has returned.
And just as a side note & reminder .... Crappie size limit on Taylorsville is now 10" ... and the daily limit is still 15/person/day.
Thanks for the info much appreciated
