    Dale Hollow 3/20/18

Mid lake 53, summer pool, light stain.
SM are doing the typical pre spawn cycle.
Moving in an out of the spawn areas.

This morning using LB boated 2 over 5lbs.
I fished flats with a channel bank near by.

Don’t be afraid to spend some time covering
areas you know hold these big females
kinda cat an mouse an patience as to move in an out
Not sure if I sublimated any fish pics
Boated 7/8 fish with a nice heavy fish.

Rick are you fishing flats in the creeks or the main lake?

    those are some great smallmouth.

I will be at the Holler on April the sixth I hope this isn't to late I really don't want to fish the spawn nor right after post spawn but I think that is what I am going to find with water temps already mid fifties

As always thanks for the post.

Main lake fortunately these fish today were released in good shape, which isn’t always the case.
hopefully others do so as well.

    Dale Hollow Spring Break

    Rick,

Ill be down next Saturday for the next 9 days hoping to find some of the big girls on cranks, spinners & jerkbaits. Seems like the lake is really coming back around after the fish kill several years back. I love catching large numbers of 3-4lb class fish.

Im sure Ill see you down there.

    Nice fish!

I know your boat. We usually idle past when you are on the back of the island to fish the flat on the Sulphur side. I'll be in a blue stratos. Will definitely say hello.

Hope to browns are aggressive when we roll in. Conditions are looking favorable.
