RV camping on or near Lake Cumberland

I have a friend who just came back from Texas, away 6 months give or take for military training. He wants to take his camper and spend the weekend at the lake fishing ect... With our family's . His rig is 40 ft long needs a 50amp service. I don't have the foggiest idea where to camp around there, nor do I relish the idea of camping in July but the wife's say we are. So does anyone have any recomendations other than wait till Sept or October.

Burnside Island's camp ground is pretty nice. Not sure about their electrical but a call into the office there should get ya the info you need. Has a ramp right there within a short distance.

Try Kendall Campground below Wolf Creek Dam. Access to lake cumberland and cumberland river. Campground is along the river so some relief from the heat. Also there is a nice trout stream between the 2 campgrounds.

    Cumberland camping

Kendall or state campground both nice an both do have 50 amp service. Kendall was full so we are going to state park this weekend. Go to Reserve America to check availability on the 50 amp service lots are very few.
