I would agree regarding the spring spawning run up the rivers, which ended long ago. However, they can be caught in the jumps on main lake early and late in the day (at Nolin at least).

July is the best month to catch whites in the “jumps” on Lake Nolin. I did awesome last year throwing a whopper plopper.

Catching them in the jumps from the bank would be tough, unless you were in just the right spot. We usually have to chase them all over the place with the trolling motor when we find them.

There are plenty of fish in the river below the dam, but I have never been down there targeting whites specifically.
