    were doing it again

Sticking our noses into another country. Turkey is slowly turning against us, why? Religion, missionary work. Just what does seperation of church and state mean?If you are intent on doing Gods work, and you wind up in trouble, ASK GOD TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM. Instead you have someone run to the state department, and now it becomes a political issue. Most of those muslim countries were once christian. Why did they change? Some of the apostles were executed for their belifes. They didn't have a state dept . to save them, they went to heaven, they are callled saints.Theres plenty of evangelical work in our country. Now there beliefs are putting innocent fols in jeporty. You chose your path, suffer the consequences if any.

Setting aside specifics of whether the USA should have interest in any citizens of mistreatment from a foreign government while in a foreign land. This pastor is being held for political reasons (being accused of spying and terrorism) and not because of his missionary work. So your point (argument) doesn't even make any sense. Why should his being a pastor exclude him from our country's support if they feel he is being wrongly accused of these things?

    pay for YOUR choices

The pastor chose to go there, that was his right. We expect visitors to this country to follow our laws right? You make it sound like no american citizens are being denied their constitutional rights.I have always said if you make a choice, and it's the right one, you deserve the rewards, if you make the wrong one, it's what you asked for, pay the price.

Obviously if an American goes abroad and chooses to engage in criminal activity then he runs the risk of getting caught and facing justice on their terms. The part you seem to be having trouble understanding is that this administrations position is that he isn't guilty and that he is caught up in something political and being held without real merit. You are misrepresenting what is taking place by simply implying he shouldn't have broken their laws.

There is no way for you, I or any average citizen to know all the specific details and facts about this case so we are faced with believing those in our government or those of Turkey's.

    only one guilty person

It appears there is only one guilty person according to this administration. Thats Clinton. So why hasn't she been arrested and brought to trial?I have no idea what turkish laws they claim were broken, and I don't know if he was ever brought to trial. And know that we have alternative truth, and facts, we'll never be sure of anything. There is one fact that is uncontraversioal, late night television is having the best ratings in years.
