    River color

Yes, still very muddy. Hope it clears up some with the water falling. It should but no guarantees on the river.

Ntu is that short for Nepholometric Turbidity Unit.

Turbidity is a measure of the degree to which the water loses its transparency due to the presence of suspended particulates.
The more total suspended solids in the water, the murkier it seems and the higher the turbidity.

Turbidity is measured in NTU: Nephelometric Turbidity Units. The instrument used for measuring it is called a turbidimeter, which measures the intensity of light scattered at 90 degrees as a beam of light passes through a water sample.

LWC has a turbidimeter for our “Raw Water” that measures NTU 24/7

    Turbidity

Is there a link that gives that reading ? Hourly or daily ? Sure would take the guess work out of wondering what the water color is on the river. Thanks for the knowledge

Here’s this mornings (0730) raw water sample at 39 NTU, the river looks more green than muddy to me.
    61.7 water temp
