This is a pretty recent pic of Grider Hill. I have seen bait and fish move into the parking lot above the arrow. Pulled my boat up to a picnic table and threw red fins off it at them. I blanked. LOL

Hey, anybody been back up in Cliffty Creek? Was wondering if those homes were okay back there?
no I haven't been down clifty creek road since all this high water but I'm betting it's pretty close to those houses
Less than a foot to go before lake hits all time record.
I think it still raining down in that area.
From corps site:
Historic Crests
(1) 751.42 ft on 03/01/1994
New record happened last night (2/24 before midnight). Current level is close to 753 and rising fast. Consider how hard it is for Cumberland to rise when it's this wide and it should provide some perspective on how much water is still entering the lake. This is going to take several weeks to recover from once recovery can even start. The amount of new debris and trash that has been pulled into the lake has been reported to be unbelievable. Contrary to some opinions, all that stuff will not be deposited high where the best case would be that it is a major eye sore. No, it will be the gift that keeps on giving for years to come.

Looks like they are now getting very agressive with the pillway.
I wonder what they are thinkin.
I saw the numbers a few days ago and these are probably off some, but it seemed like the inflow into the lake was three times what they were able to output at the time. I think the output was something like 27,000,000 gallons an hour. Don't quote me on those numbers. I just remember thinking there is no way they are going to be able to catch up until the inflow slowed way down and they ain't happening any time soon.
