I was at both Lakes Saturday and water color wasn't to bad but fish were not biting for me or everyone I talked to.

I just checked TVA and it reports lake levels at 354. I'm a little surprised, as I suspected them to be at summer pool or so with all the water and mess they had last month........
I guess they dumped them hard in anticipation for more rain in April......
No matter, what are folks doing.....what do things look like north.....

I've been doing a bit of bank fishing and Barkley has come up at least a foot since Monday. They are supposed to start bringing the lake up to summer pool Monday, April 1st and have it at summer pool by May 1st.
My son and I put in some bamboo attractors today and then took the boat to Willow Bay and Demumbers on a shakedown run. We threw crappie jigs under weighted corks for about 45min out in front of the rock wall in the back of Willow Bay with no luck.
Water color has cleared up reasonably well but look for that to change tomorrow if forecasted rain hits hard. Water temp was 56 or so.
I fished south Barkley last Saturday too and the water was down but pretty stained. I wouldn't call it muddy but more brown than green - even in the bays. Didn't see any baitfish to speak of and caught 1 bass and 3 drum on cranks fishing 6 hours or so. In hindsight wish I would have tried the big lake as Barkley was dead last week end...I just checked TVA and it reports lake levels at 354.
