Barren River Lake - Dad's Bday

Headed to barren Thursday as my dad passed away last year and this is his first birthday away from us. Taking his bass boat to his favorite lake in rememberence. I know his spirit will lead me to a few bites, but as a novice, any help anyone else can provide would be great. Thanks!

Barren is waaaay up right now! 27 feet above summer pool. Last time I was there when it was up there was debris everywhere and you couldn’t go far. However there might be a lot of flooded brush that would make for good flipping and pitching. Just take it slow and you should be good.

As of this morning, still 19 FEET ABOVE SUMMER Pool...it won’t be easy to find a place to launch, but I’m sure you’ll have some options. However, I would just probably wait for better conditions...it’ll be a mess at this level. Good luck and be very careful if ya go.

Managed one fish today on a spinnerbait. Heard some others on the lake had some luck. Anybody willing to share tips? Struggling to pick spots to fish with water so high.
