    End of Era

I just put my 1997 Stratos 282 DC up for sale. When it sells it will be the first time in over 20 years that I've been boat-less. The boat is in great condition.

I have mixed emotions about this and mama is having a hard time with my decision. The fact is that the boat was used once in 2018 and only twice the year before that. I know the boat is an inanimate object and has no feelings but it deserves better.

I hate to admit that my age has a factor in this decision.

The boat has been sold to a nice younger couple. Heck, it seems everyone is younger than I am!!

I wish them many years of enjoyment on now my ex-boat.

I'm getting older too and my health is not what is use to be due to heart disease and cancer. But I'm not ready to sell my boat yet. I don't use it anymore. I went out in the boat once in the last three years and it was not a fun trip. But I just want to hang onto the boat a little longer. I hope to recover from the cancer by this fall or next spring and if things don't go the way I want them to, then I may be ready to sell the boat.

I know what you mean about not wanting to sell the boat. I will feel naked without a boat in the garage.

I'll turn 75 in Aug. I have not had either of my boats out this year and not much last year. I have considered selling my Stratos but I keep thinking this is just a temporary slump i'm in. Just not ready to give up.
