Haven't heard many recent fishing reports about trout below the dam.
Are there any rainbows being caught between the dam and Burkesville? Thanks for replies.

are you fly fishing, throwing plugs, chucking power bait?
the good thing about the river is trout fishing is good to great year round.
Using in-line spinners (very small). Also Creme mini-worm harness..., but the small in-line is my favorite.
Yea, just haven't seen hardly any river fishing reports, other than weather-related delays by some guides. Thanks for your reply...much appreciated!
ARE you the guy that has a place on the river for rent, and will do tow/pickup for yaks?
If so, I need to talk to ya
Thanks,
Geo
We were on the river last weekend (6/21-6/23) and caught some nice Browns and Bows from the dam down to Long Bar. We had two Rainbows over 21" and some nice Browns. Stripers laying below the dam we caught with crankbaits.

I have a place to rent with a boat ramp but do not do shuttles. I live in Indy so the commute would kill me.
Mutty Waters in Burkesville will do it for you though. Not sure how they charge. You can check out my place at
VRBO 1126352. If you are interested in renting let me know and DO NOT reserve on VRBO. Save you some
money.

Well, the generation schedule for the river is still 2 or more for 24 hr/day, as of 6/30.
Does anyone have a guess if that will continue over the holiday? I know that was a lot of rain, but things have been decent recently.
the lake is currently at 725+ , I would expect that schedule to stay the same for at least a few days as there are still some heavy rains east of the lake.
but this is nothing more than a guess so dont let it affect your decision

Lake Cumberland is 1.3 ft over summer pool on 7/1 so they will be pulling a small amount of water. What most people don't know is the winter drawdown for Cumberland starts in July. It's a long slow process because they do not pull it as fast as most other lakes that have a winter drawdown.
I am going to provide a link that shows historical water levels. It has the past 3 years on it but if click on the years below the chart you can add more years. If history repeats itself there will current in the river from now until November...
