"people with an acute sense of smell may get a hint of bourbon". aside from a few dead fish this is still a win win 😊

The fish kill is already starting. I was wondering how much of an effect this will have downstream.

I do not know if them fish are really dead. They may just be passed out from drinking and dancing all night. I know back in the day after an all nighter of drinking and dancing I looked like a dead fish some mornings.

Usually right there with the humor myself guys but this spill ain't no joke. Going to be years before its impact is behind us around here.

I think this is a travesty...I don't see the humor at all. I'm wondering if ALL the Kentucky River fish are dead!!!
Fine the piss out of Jim Beam!

Good time to put a million sauger in!! And yes it is a bad deal but it was lighting.
i think the word you are looking for is "tragedy"....it will only be a "travesty" if jim beam tries to avoid making an effort to reconcile the condition of the river and fish populations to what it was before this ACCIDENT happened.
I talked to a biologist today about the catfish in the Ky River and he said he thought that the fish effected pretty bad from lock 4 in Frankfort all the way to the Ohio River. He said they were going to have a meeting to address the issue and to discuss fish stocking in the river. The fish kill is already starting. I was wondering how much of an effect this will have downstream.

Just relaying my experience below dam #4 yesterday. I got so tired of catching catfish around the rocks right at the bottom of dam. The biggest 16 inches with the majority of them being 12” and between. Throw in a few Ky bass and smallmouth. Plenty of gar hanging out and I seen several asian carp. Action on down the river was slim. We were ready to go by that time but did manage a few bass jigging. Plenty of shad and fry. Seen crawdads around the ramp area in the rock. I launched at the Buffalo Trace ramp.
