    Stripper fishing

Every year since I was 10 dad and I have gone on a fishing trip to catch either crappie or trout in early May. I have to cancel this year because I have a baby being born in mid April. We also found out a couple weeks ago that dad had a pretty aggressive foe of cancer on his stomach. He’s always talked about getting a stripper guide on either Cumberland or Norris but we’ve never done it. I want to surprise him with a trip this coming fall or winter but I know absolutely nothing about stripper fishing. I’m just assuming November and December are good months to do it but I could be way off. Does anybody have any helpful hints on which lake and when? I can do my own research on guides because I know that question has been asked 1000 times but if anyone feels strongly about one feel free to leave their name. Thanks everyone!

    Stripper fishing

First, don’t google “stripper guides “. I will just say again that I can’t imagine a striper guide more knowledgeable, more accommodating or more professional than Lance Sasser (though I’m sure that there are many deserving of such praise). I will say that I think he prefers October or November. He guides on the lower end of Cumberland, absolutely beautiful in the fall. Good luck with your search.

If your wanting to catch a stripper you need some singles but 5's 10's and 20's catch better quality. If you looking to catch a striper, well that's a fish I have no idea about.

Best wishes to you on the new baby , and prayers for your Dads challenges.
Lance Sasser or Morgans Guide Service would be excellent choices.
Ask THE GUIDE for suggestions as to what month they would prefer to book the trip. I promise you their answer will be based on when they feel the fish will be the most predictable and easy to get to.
If you were to ask me I would hands down reccomend November.
but you need to ask the guide...

As long as the money is flowing they are biting. Once the money runs out you have nothing to show fo it but some sparkling glitter.
