    Smile Trawl net?

Has anyone ever use a Trawl net that you pull behind the boat to catch shad? They make several different sizes, it sure would make catching bait easy compared to using lights and cast nets etc. I'm getting close to 70 years old and need all the help I can get.

A cast net is simple to use. I used to toss one on Taylorsville Lake 6 or 8 years ago and could bring in 50+ shad with one throw. Brings back a lot of memories loading up on blue cats with those fresh shad on a gravel bar.

Get a small cast net so it's easier to handle and throw. A few throws in the right spot is all it takes, just look for them flipping on the surface and then troll on over there quietly and toss the net. Lots of videos on youtube to help you figure out how to throw a net, 5 minutes in the backyard should have you prepared to do what you need to do.
