Got a few days to be on Dale. Went out this morning out of Sulphur Creek. Water temp for the day started out at 64 and fluctuated between 64-66 in Sulphur and out on main lake. We caught a few dinks with shiners in Sulphur. Out on main lake around the area of Geiger Island using mostly shiners caught quite a few 20-21 inch smallmouths. They were very aggressive. Several times they would knock the fire out of the shiner and fight you a few moments and let go and then hit it again and the fight was on! We caught a few on tube jigs but live bait was best. We hope tomorrow will be as good or better as today......and hopefully a little warmer.

We took a short trip down to Sulphur last Wed and Thur. Fished Cumberland river Wed. and picked up several rainbows and a Brown trout. And carp lol those things got you excited on lite tackle only for a let down. Fished Dale on Thur. with live shiners and had some bumps but no takers. Ended up with a couple I guess what you guy's would call dinks,I call bait 16" and 18" brown fish vertically jigging a big spoon in 35ft of water within sight of the marina. Wind was terrible but got to watch eagles circle and the smell of fall in the air. Good trip.Chuck
