KY river after jim beam spill

I thought I might start fishing the KY river for sauger this winter, are the lower pools( from Frankfort to the ohio river) worth fishing after the jim beam incident or should I only fish upstream of where it happened? The lower pool's are closer to me but if the fishing has suffered I'm willing to travel a little farther

IMO it'll be years before the river recovers from that spill.

Iíve had good luck below the dam in Frankfort. That is if the river levels stay fishable

You've had good luck there since the fish kill?
