Been to Taylorsville Lake a couple of times (late Oct) and only saw a couple of people at the spillway back then. The low output they've been releasing for the last couple of months has probably been too little to really get fish to come to the dam. Just guessing, though as I haven't fished the spillway in many years, and never this time of year. When I did fish there in low output, dink Crappie was all I caught ... and in the high output times, the Asian Carp were so thick my Road Runner would bump a half a dozen of them on each cast. I tried to snag them for awhile, but never hooked up. And I know they were Bighead Asian Carp, because a friend of mine did hang into one & landed it ... and I saw the picture. They didn't know what it was & put it back, for which I scolded them for doing (but only lightheartedly, since they didn't know better).
