Folks,
We lost a GREAT one last night. After a long , long battle with kidney cancer and other stuff, Dave Stewart fought his final battle.
We had been friends for nearly 20 years, from the first time I met him in Indianapolis at the boat show, to taking his classes, and hiring him as a guide, and then just simply driving down there and fun fishing with him.
I have learned so much from him in so many respects. I will tell you this, he KNEW his fishin .
He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family.
Yes, friends, it is a sad day

Wow. Thanks Geo.
I don't know what to say for the moment.
I considered Dave "The Model Human Being".
I absolutely did/do.

I’m sorry to hear this. May his soul RIP. He will be fishing forever if that’s what he chooses to do.
To all who knew him as a friend , I’m truly sorry for your loss.
About a decade ago, I used to email him from time to time about my Lake Barkley fishing adventures and he’d always respond to my messages. He didn’t know me from Adam. He was a good man who truly cared about others, no doubt about it.
Never met him but I have used his reports, techniques, and guidance to catch many fish. I’d call him a true educator as he spread his knowledge with anyone seeking it.
RIP and prayers for family.
My condolences to Dave's friends and Family. Never met Dave but read all his posts and some of his fishing reports. Quickly realized Dave was a giver and a good guy. He will be missed. RIP Dave.
A man that would answer any time someone sent him a message. RIP Dave.
Awesome guy that will truly be missed but never forgotten !
KY Lake legend that will be missed.
