Gas Buddy shows 4.30-4.50 up the hill, so I guess Dock is only about $1 more. Wow what a deal.

It’s finally happened. A day in the Motel on the balcony drinking beer costs less than fishing for the day. 😂😂😂😂

Maybe, maybe not.........Personally if I spent the kind of bank on a fast boat, I'd prob drink less beer, and still go drive it.

BUT at 4 to 6 bucks a gallon, wow, that is a painful weekend. Those tanks might hold 100 gallons. And I know a lot of guys that do lots of cruising........that makes for a very expensive weekend.

I suspect that entire boating industry, along with a couple more recreational industries are going to take a massive hit.

I wonder about vacation travel this summer?

    Later,

    Geo

based on the crowd size this weekend fuel prices only matter when it comes to batching about how much it costs to drive to work.

I paid $5.51 per gallon two weeks ago at Green Turtle Bay. Those marinas are making you pay a heavy price for the convenience factor.

That said, I drove through old Kuttawa yesterday and it was packed with people and boaters...

I was complete shocked that the boating industry saw new boat prices double or better during the pandemic . Who ever expected you could have to pay 60-70k for a flipping pontoon boat?

So if gas causes them some slow sales I think from the gold rush they already experienced they will be just fine.

    Omg....bingo....winner...... dead on.
Hey, if they buy the gas and blow off their boat payments ya think we’ll see a push for “ Stupid Boat Buyer Boat Loan Forgiveness” 😂😂😂. Or better yet “ Stupid Gas Gouging Reparation Checks” 🤗🤗🤗

    Solution

Based on the cost of boats and gas, I’ve come up with an alternate set of fishing solutions:
    1. Go to Kroger’s and cast a bottom rig baited with my credit card at the seafood counter.
    2. Put in a 20. X 50 pool in the back yards and stock it with Bass, Cats, and Stripers ( strippers too )
    3. Save on the cost of pool, flood my basement, stock it and fish from the living room.
    4. Give up Striper fillets and hit McDonalds for a fish fillet sandwich.
