    Cumberland River below the dam

We put in at Burkesville. Fished from 7:30 to 1:30pm. We caught 9 fish between us. Clear skies made fishing slow in my opinion. Always do better with clouds. Caught everything on crank baits. 17 inch fish was the largest. It was a rainbow. Caught a few small browns. Saw a raccoon, and an otter or weasel. Not sure what it was. As the clouds increased, so did the chasers.

At the mouths of creeks coming into the river you can catch smallies and maybe a large mouth. Not often you’ll catch them in the river.
