    Water Level on Cherokee

Does anyone know how deep the winter draw down is going to be this year? It already looks like it's lower than this time last year and dangerous in some spots. Are they going all the way down to the 1033 mark for Winter Pool or what?

Right now it's at 1043 water temp 63 to 66 degrees .If we don't get lots of rain it may go down at far 1028.Your guess is as good as mine . They still have to generate power.. Yank

It is my understanding that, from TWRA decisions made in 2003, winter pool should hold around 1035. Of course, that is if we get plenty of rain. With the ongoing drought and an increased demand for power due to colder weather, that level could be much lower. PRAY FOR RAIN!

I was on Cherokee a few days ago and saw many navigational hazards just below the surface of the water. This is a very dangerous time to be on the lake and requires boat operators to be alert. Night time would be even more dangerous.
