    Dale Hollow. Where to go?

I would like to go down in the near future (my first trip to Dale) and do a little fnf fishing. What is the best area to fish in this time of year? Also where is the best place to put in so I will not have to make real long runs to find the fish? I don't want your hot spot just some broad info.

    Thanks

Put in at Horse Creek marina and you won't have to run very far to find some places to fish for smallies.

I would recommend Cedar Hill Resort. In the winter we always put in there, and everywhere you look is good fishing. Try jigs and minnows casting the bluffs. good luck

Stop by Dale Hollow One Stop. Stephen Headrick will help you with map marking and he carries the best FNF supplies on the lake. If Stephen is not there, there is normally someone there who can give you some idea of where to fish.. I RECOMMEND hiring a guide on the lake though first couple times down there.
Bob Coan, Bobby Gentry, Cubby, and others can show you where the fish are holding.
    First tip..
Find the warmest water you can find. If the back of a creek is 42 and the front is 45 fish the front of the creek or main lake. The Bait Fish will be in the warmer water.
