    Dale Hollow - PLEASE HELP!

We will be coming down from Michigan to stay at the cedar hill Marina near Celina. I have never been to dale and don't know what to fully expect, I am sure we will be too early for them to be on beds. Where should I start, what might the smallies be doing, etc? any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are coming down soon, you will find many smallies suspended anywhere from 10-20 feet deep on the bluffs. Main lake bluffs and bluffs just up inside the creeks should produce fish. FNF, jigs, silver buddies, or shiners should catch fish on these bluffs. You may also try the deeper black shale points with small hair jig or tube.

There are several good to excellent guides on the lake. Bobby Gentry, Bob Coan, Ralph Sandfer, are some of the guides on that lake.

HIGHLY recommend a guide if you have the means. Their experience and knowledge is pricelss. Myself and friends have fished the FNF with Bob Coan, and he was outstanding.

Heard through the grapevine that Bob will be taking Iconelli out to teach him the FNF here in a few weeks. Just listen for the screams :D

I've never been to Dale earlier than the first week in May. We do well with white flukes on main lake and secondary points. Try Long Branch, Mitchell Creek, Indian Creek, Kyle Branch, First Island and points in front of the dam, your on that end of the lake anyway. Don't forget Horse Creek. Great fishing there !!!
