    blown motor?

    how do you know if you have a blown motor if you dont have a compresion tester? will it start,will you have spark,how can you tell? thanks Bob

    Try removing one sparkplug and get the plugwire away from any metal. Hold your thumb or finger over the plug hole and see if it has sufficient pressure to blow past as you crank very slowly. You should NOT be able to hold back the compression by hand. Try each cylinder to see if there is a big difference between any of them. Good luck but it sounds like you need a mechanic. Shoalrunner
