Boone Lake

Anybody here been on Boone recently?? Just curious as to what the water levels and temps are right now. Was planning to try to head up that way in the next day or two. Are they still on flies and silver buddies?

The water level is coming up pretty steady. Several feet in the last couple of weeks. Obviously, I don't do a lot of bass fishing, so I can't help you there. Striper and carp fishing is pretty slow though. ;)

Drove by yesterday. The lake still has a long way to go. I'd avoid the TVA ramp for another couple of weeks.

The TVA ranp has plenty of water. They've had tournaments out of there the last two weekends that I know of. The carp are biting jerkbaits worked real slow. No kidding carpking, I caught 3 last sunday afternoon that just slid up and sucked on the rear treble! As far as the bass go, I had 4 good fish, but I wouldn't say they were tearing it up!

went this afternoon from 11-2 and had 4 keepers, never had a bite on a jerkbait. Water was around 54 deg.
