Not if the price was right, when I got it on the water I would give it a thorough check out. You should be able to tell if the guy has taken care of it or not. Be sure to check out trolling motor, bilge, aerator etc..

I've been looking for a bass boat for quite a while but haven't been able to make a trade deal work. I think I may have the trade part worked out and I'm looking at a 1996 Ranger 462 with a 150 Merc EFI.
The boat being ten years old makes me nervous. Obviously the overall condition of the motor is dependent upon who owned it.
Assuming the boat looks and runs clean, would anyone be nervous buying a ten year old boat?
Sounds kind of trivial but looking for any opinions your willing to provide.
Thanks,
W. Amos

Hey WMAMOS, do you have an email address or phone number I can reach you at? I have a question for you. Thanks
Get it in the water, if it runs good, looks good, fair price? I wouldn't be too nervous. Open the motor cover and check for sign of how much have the motor been work on.
