I keep reading about the good size saugeye in Sullivan lake. Is that old news, or is there something to it? Are the numbers and size still good? Just casting about for something different to try. Any opinions and experiences welcome. Also info on quality of lake access. Thanks.

Has a real nice boat ramp but don't know about the sauger fishing.County owns the lake so you may have to pay if someone is at the gait to launch and enter the park, but this time of year their may not be anyone their to collect fees.
Hey, Slip Bobber, thanks for the reply! I always knew there was a lake there but knew nothing about it until I was going through a book of lake maps. 5-6 years ago it sounded pretty good for the fish, cross betwixt sauger and walleye. I plead guilty to what most of us have been reduced to doing now. Thinking, planning, and wishin because it's too cold to do anything else. I still predict there will be at least one 2-3 day period of 50 deg. or higher in Dec. and Jan. As to whether those will coincide with gas money, and someone to take along is another story. Best wishes, and be safe.
