Can I get some input on your experiences on lakes you have caught perch, maybe by accident even! I have got a few draging half a crawler for walleye at Brookville, and a few at Monroe. This summer I never catch more than 2 or 3 while fishing out of gar hill ramp. Any idea's on getting more? Thanks.

I also have caught Perch at Geist, on a crankbait in May. During the winter months I ice fish at Monroe and sometimes catch a bunch there, off the Paynetown docks.
Where in the world do you find safe ice at Paynetown? Been fishing Paynetown all my life and havent seen it freeze over in years.
Last time I even seen a perch at Lake Monroe it was so small it was running away from the minnows.

I assume he was fishing off of the docks. Alot of times people will set up on the docks and jig over the side if the ice isn't safe
I always ice fish off the docks there... Don't like to stand on ice unless I have to...........
Summit lake report: Fished 8-16-06, from 7:00 to 3:30pm. We did catch perch within an hour of fishing. Found a school arround the weed line off a point at about mid-lake. Caught 15 perch there, with most being 7" to 8", but I did get one about 11"- 11 1/2" . We only fished with nightcrawlers. We also caught 6 LMB, all shorties and most were 11"-12". I was hot on the perch for a while at one spot, but didn't find much more as the sun burned down real bright by mid-morning. We fished the deep half of the lake towards the dam. I will have to explore the rest of the lake next trip. I was fun for our first trip to Summit. I have never fished for perch before and my 13 year old son had fun. Post any ideas if anyone has any other help. Thanks Basserd for your help!
